Town’s Market Launches Charity Santa’s Grotto

Luton, Bedfordshire, UK – For the first time in its near 40-year-history, Luton’s indoor market will be opening a magical grotto where local children will be able to meet Santa and receive a gift. All profits from the grotto will be donated to the Keech Hospice Care charity.

Two players from Luton Town Football Club will be officially opening the Grotto at 2pm on Thursday 1st December 2011.

Dave Gibbs, manager with Town and Country Markets Ltd, the company responsible for the day-to-day operation of the market said: “We’re really grateful to Luton Town Football Club for helping us launch the grotto, which will raise much-needed funds for the Keech Care Hospice.”

Located within The Mall, the indoor market represents the town’s diverse and vibrant population – with stalls offering everything from food to fashion – including and creative selection of internationally-themed, freshly-cooked meals and specialist stalls – including one of the County’s leading fishmongers.

The market, which will celebrate its 40th anniversary next January, is open Monday to Saturday, all year round.
